Oscars 2020: un film français nominé

Nous y voila. Les nominations pour les Oscars sont connues. Les paris sont lancés. Qui sera l’heureux élu le dimanche 9 février? Aucune surprise dans les nominations. Les favoris sont “The Irishman”, “1917”, ““Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” et “Parasite”. Pour une fois les Oscars sont très ouvert. Il n’y a pas de favoris. On notera la grande présence de Netflix dans les différents catégories. C’est la première fois qu’un film Sud-Coréen est nominé pour Meilleur film et Réalisateur et sinon on notera la grand absence de personnes de couleurs dans les differents catégories d’acteurs à part Cynthia Erivo. Pas de femme nominée pour meilleur réalisatrice. Barack Obama a été nominé pour un documentaire American Factory”.

Le court-métrage “Une soeur” avec Veerle Baetens représentera la Belgique alors que le film français « Les misérables » de Ladj Ly est nominé pour le meilleur film étranger. Film policier se passant après la victoire de la France à la coupe du monde de football, les misérables suit des policiers de la BAC pendant 48 heures en banlieue parisienne. C’est la 8ème réalisation de Ladj Ly, jusqu’ici principalement connu pour ses documentaires et ses court-métrages. Bonne chance à ce film!

Dans le passé, les oscars ont parfois fait le bonheur des Français comme des oscarisés Mario  Cotillard, Juliette Binoche et Jean Dujardin, l’oscar du meilleur film pour The Artist ou encore l’oscar d’honneur pour la réalisatrice Agnès Varda.

Rendez-vous le dimanche 9 février à Los Angeles. La cérémonie n’aura pas de présentateur comme l’année dernière.
